The Religious Education Ministry at St. Jude Catholic Church invites our children and teens to live out their Catholic faith as they learn of God’s amazing love for them and His Church. Our ministry also prepares children to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. Students experience the Gospel values of Jesus Christ with an understanding of what it truly means to live and worship as a Roman Catholic. Our desire is to awaken the faith of every child with genuine discovery and wonder at the active presence of God in their life, the life of the Church and in their world.
Classes for First Grade through High School begin in mid-September and end in early May. Classes are taught by a loving, faith-filled team of certified and dedicated volunteers. We welcome all children including those with special needs.
Sacramental preparation is in cooperation with the Diocese of Palm Beach; requiring two full years of sacrament preparation. Children receiving the Sacrament of First Communion, generally prepare during 1st and 2nd grades. Young adults receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, generally prepare during 8th and 9th grade. For children in grades 3 – 7 who still need the Sacrament of Holy Communion, there is a Special Sacraments class available, and is still a two year preparation program.
The Catechetics Program at Franciscan University of Steubenville exists to prepare students to join the "army of catechists" called for by the late Pope Saint John Paul II, eager to help the Church in her mission of making all nations desciples of Jesus Christ. We combine a thorough study of Sacred Scipture, Sacred Tradition, and magisterial documents with training in proper and effective pedagogical techniques to help our students grasp the intelligibility and coherence of divine truths, and to pass them along faithfully. For the whole family. Click on the logo below to start your program.
